ActiVatoR participates in the 84th Thessaloniki International Fair
NOISIS, in collaboration with SPECTRAtech SA, present at Booth 13 of the Thessaloniki International Fair, the Interactive and Experiential Learning Platform for the promotion of Ancient Greek Technology using a virtual reality cabin and a mechanical reaction.
The interactive and Experiential Virtual Reality Learning platform ActiVatoR aims to acquaint the public with ancient Greek technology. It consists of Virtual Reality applications and a motion simulation platform with mechanical feedback that is activated according to the user's actions.
The exhibit consists of the driving platform and applications for Oculus virtual reality glasses. The visitor of the exhibition can sit in the specially designed seat of the movement platform and wearing the glasses of Virtual Reality, to be transported to the ancient world where he will watch the life and daily life of the people of the time. Through the educational scenarios of use ("The siege of Rhodes", "The shipwreck of Antikythera", "The first civilization of Europe"), the visitor will be able to experience in an experiential way some of the important achievements of ancient Greek technology and culture, as it will be able to participate through virtual reality in historical events, to interact with objects and characters of the time.
The duration of testing a script on the ActiVatoR platform is set at 10 minutes per visitor.
The motion simulation system with virtual reality glasses is suitable for children older than 10 years.
