At the center of the discussions of the 7th Archeometry Symposium "ARCH - RNT Archaeological Research & New Technologies" were the deliverers of Sub-project 2 "Design - installation and supply of equipment for interactive digital applications and services" which resulted from the collaboration of the company SPECTRAtech SA . and the Ephorate of Antiquities of Chios in the context of the project "Highlighting and promotion of museums and monuments of Chios through interactive digital applications and services".
The Symposium is an initiative of the Archaeometrics Laboratory and has been held continuously every two years since 2008 with a break in the spring of 2016 which hosted the 41st International Symposium on Archaeometry (ISA 2016). It is a joint organization of the University of Peloponnese, the Municipality of Kalamata and the Region of Peloponnese.
The scientific symposium, which took place on 6 – 8 October 2022, focused on the use of new technologies in archaeological research (object study, environment, digital CH) and hosted over 100 delegates from 16 countries, while during its duration 156 prototypes were presented papers with themes from the field of Culture, specifically Archaeometry, Geophysical Sciences and Digital Applications.
