The Datapath Fx4 is a multi-faceted stand alone display controller that supports a choice of inputs, loop-through operation as well as 4 genlocked outputs in either DisplayPort or HDMI.

The Fx4 features a DisplayPort1.2 main input alongside two HDMI1.4 inputs offering either 4k 4096x2160p at 60 fps or UHD 2160p at 30 fps respectively. The intuitive user interface allows users to determine which input is used.

The DisplayPort loop output also supports up to 4096 x 2160/60 resolution and carries the original signal unchanged. There are also two Ethernet ports that allow connecting to a network. Only one port needs to be connected, while the other allows daisy-chaining by looping out.

Wall Designer Software

Wall Designer is the perfect software to create and manage video wall projects. It can work in every model of Fx4 series and allows project builders to easily design complex display walls of all sizes and configurations. Three steps are required:

*Select the desired monitor from database or add your own while you mix and match monitors from different manufacturers to suit your configuration.

*Create your canvas aligning and rotating each monitor to place it perfectly onto the main canvas. Add your own content and adjust the capture regions.

*Automatic configuration can be done by connecting any number of Multi-Display controllers to your PC or laptop and WallDesigner will automatically programme them. EDID helps you making timing adjustments.

With these steps you are ready to build your monitor diagram, print out the design which include data of the measurements for each monitor and make an easy installation after.

It comes as a free download compatible with Windows and MacOS.

The Fx4 also allows users to pre-load an image for immediate display in those cases when the media source or cables malfunction and no signal is being received.
